SRC SAFETY MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENT

As of 12 March 2008, SRC achieved another important milestone in its safety performance of 5 million man-hours worked without a Day Away From Work (DAFWC) Case.

5 million man-hours translate into a period of 17 months over which each of the 1,500 employees and contractors working at SRC upheld an unblemished DAFWC safety record. Even though for the past 17 months, there were several plant start-ups/shutdowns, a major turnaround and project construction activities ongoing which posed significant challenges, SRC was proud to be able to count on the team spirit and personal responsibility of all its workers to overcome these challenges and advance another notch in its safety performance.
